Project Manager

This role is for Omanis and requires candidates to be Omani nationals.

We are looking for an experienced and organised Project Manager with a strong focus on team collaboration and process optimization to lead and manage complex projects in the telecom industry. This role involves overseeing project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders and team members. Telecom experience is a plus, as the role will involve managing projects that improve infrastructure, optimise network performance, and enhance digital services.

• Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
• Monitor and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely resolution and proactive mitigation of potential delays.
• Oversee project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams, including telecom engineers, IT, and business stakeholders, to align on project goals and deliverables.
• Foster a collaborative project environment, promoting transparent communication, regular status updates, and accountability within the project team.
• Facilitate project meetings, manage agendas, and prepare detailed documentation, including project charters, status reports, and post-project reviews.
• Maintain stakeholder engagement, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
• Support change management efforts by planning and coordinating training sessions, user acceptance testing, and go-live preparations.
• Evaluate and implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency, team productivity, and overall project outcomes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; PMP or other relevant certification is a plus.
• 4+ years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Telecom experience or familiarity with telecom project requirements is a plus, especially in network optimisation and digital infrastructure.
• Proficiency with project management tools like Jira, MS Project, Asana, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and align cross-functional teams.
• Experience in Agile or Lean methodologies is preferred.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with a knack for multitasking and prioritising in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Certification in Agile (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, PMI-ACP) or Lean methodologies.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification.
• Experience with telecom-specific project management or familiarity with OSS/BSS systems.
• Background in managing data center or network infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in advanced project management software tools, such as Microsoft Project Server, Smartsheet, or ServiceNow.
• Familiarity with telecom industry standards and compliance regulations.
• Strong understanding of KPI tracking and performance metrics in telecom projects.
• Experience with cross-cultural team management, especially in multi-market projects.
